Jag håller på att installera Linux mint 18.1Xfce på min laptop: Fujitsu-Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5535
Hårdvaran i den är följande.
CPU Intel® Celeron® Processor 530, 1M Cache, 64-bit, 1.73 GHz, 533 MHz FSB
Chipset/disk controller: SiS M672, SiS-PCI IDE-styrenhet
Grafik: Embedded in SiS M672 shared memory of 256MB
Ram: 2GB DDR2-533
Mus: Tochpad Synaptics
Audio: RealTek HD ALC268
Lan: SiS 196 LAN
Wlan: Atheros AR5007EG
HDD: 160GB Sata
Jag följde guiden https://sites.google.com/site/easylinuxtipsproject/sis som de flesta linuxtrådar pekar till när jag söker på sis 672
Grafiken ökade från 640 till 1280 så det fungerar. Men tyvärr handlar den enbart om att lösa grafikproblemet.. så det löser inte datorns chipset drivrutiner
Datorn går väldigt varmt.. 71grader, så det har ju garanterat att göra med felaktiga drivrutiner. I windows Vista håller den runt 56grader
Ljudet är fel identifierat, wifi är identifierat som Atheros AR242x / AR542x men går inte att aktivera(vilket ändå inte kommer användas, men verkar vara fel drivrutin)

Frågan är... tror ni att detta går att lösa i Minten? Eller finns det andra Linux distributioner med bättre stöd för SiS?

För att ni inte ska behöva klicka på den så står det i koden nedanför att den levererats med Knoppix4... Betyder det att det ska finnas Linux drivrutiner i något hörn??

Jag hittade på SiS nedladdningssida lite drivrutiner till linux
Fakta sida http://w3.sis.com/support/support_faqs_16.htm (när jag bläddrade runt så hittade jag inte ens mina win drivers som jag en gång har laddat ner där)

Men drivrutinerna till sata & raid hängde jag inte med på om det fanns någon som går att tillämpa till min dator.
Jag tänker på att drivrutinen till grafiken fungerade till 672/772 även att den var avsedd för 671/771 så kanske en annan är kompatibel oxå.- Kod: Markera allt
